Monster Mash on October 26th

Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha School Council presents
A Halloween Dance Party

Come out to the BKT Gym on Friday, October 26th from 6:00-8:00pm with your family and friends for a night of Halloween fun!

The admission is $2/child.  Please note that no child will be admitted without being accompanied by an adult.  We will also be accepting any non-perishable food donations for the Ottawa Food Bank.

Everyone should wear their costumes as there will be prizes for the best costumes.  If you have a weapon as part of your costume, please leave them at home, as they are not allowed in the school.

There will be the following activities:
  • A dance with a DJ
  • Colouring table
  • Games (25¢/play)
  • Raffle for Ottawa 67’s tickets
  • Auction for the Jack O’Lanterns created by each class
  • Lionel, the Boston Pizza mascot, will make an appearance
There will be popcorn, baked goods, juice and water for sale.

AND it wouldn’t be a party without each child receiving a loot bag.

We also would appreciate any donations of individually wrapped, nut free items for our bake sale.

If you have any questions or would like to volunteer for the event, please contact the school council at: blessedkatericouncil@gmail.com.

Fundraising Makes it Happen at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha

Every year, the BKT School Council holds a fundraiser to raise funds for the school.  In the past, funds raised have paid for the play structure, digital cameras, smart boards, headphones, teachers' supplies, and the list goes on.

In an effort to provide a fundraiser that will include "something affordable for everyone", at every price point, we are pleased to introduce the Lamontagne Fundraising Catalogues COLLECTION 2012 Program!  The campaign runs from October 3-23rd.

Here's how it works:

Every participating student is receiving a package containing the following four brochures (you can click on the brochure to view it online) along with a 4 part order form, collection money envelope and a cumulative PRIZE program poster.

Taking orders from relatives, friends, neighbors and colleagues at your workplace will really help to accumulate sales. Invite out-of-town friends and relatives to view all catalogues online at www.lamontagne.ca and then call or e-mail their order to you. You can view all brochure products online and make your choice(s) on the attached order form. Please collect the money when you take the order. No orders can be accepted without payment.

Important Dates and Information:

Return the top three copies (white, yellow and pink) of the order form and monies collected on or before October 23rd in order to ensure a timely return of the final order before the holidays. Please make sure that your child’s name is on both the order form and the money envelope. Retain the green copy for your records. Please expect approximately 4 weeks for delivery.

All cheques must be made payable to Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Parent Council.

As our special “thank you” for your efforts, this fundraiser includes some prizes:

Included inside each brochure package is a poster listing all of the prizes each child may
receive when they reach specific sales targets. If there is 50% class participation, that class will earn $50 worth of free product from the catalogues to use in the classroom. There will also be three class pizza lunch prizes. PLUS…. each and every student who participates is entered into our GRAND PRIZE DRAW.

And our Participation grand prize is a……

Razor Electric Scooter  (retail value approx $200)

So, if your child purchases at least 1 item then their name will be entered in the draw and their class could qualify for free products.

For more information, please refer to the parent letter that went out with the paper copies of the brochure at the beginning of the campaign.
